Lindsay Lohan attempted suicide!

Lindsay Lohan attempted suicide!Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan's close friends are hoping her current time in rehabilitation will halt her suicidal tendencies.

Lohan checked into the Promises rehab facility in California after she was charged with drunk driving and her friends were going public with her personal struggles.

Hollywood.com reports that one friend said she tried to commit suicide twice in the same night. "She grabbed a knife and started cutting at her wrists. A friend made her stop. Lohan ran into the bathroom with a bottle of Advil (a liquid gel for headaches)," said the friend.

The friend added that she then locked herself in the bathroom and threatened to swallow the whole bottle unless she was left alone.

"Lindsay needs to go to rehab, then spend time soul searching and getting to the roots of her problems. These emotional breakdowns she has are getting worse, and one of these days, she really will kill herself," said another friend.

Pamela Anderson Tells Her Kids About Sex Tapes

Pamela Anderson Tells Her Kids About Sex TapesThe kids of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee have been informed of their parent's sex tapes by their mother. The reason? To warn them before they saw the Borat movie!

Her two sons Brandon and Dylan kept pestering the buxomed one to watch 'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan' because all their friends had seen it, but first a talk was needed to inform them of her past.

Speaking to The Sun, the former 'Baywatch' star told her children: "'You know, when your dad and I were first together we used to video tape everything. Everybody's naked, hugging, kissing, all that good stuff and someone stole the tape.' And I remember when we were watching the film and (son) Dylan
goes: 'You mean everybody has seen this?' And I said, 'Yes.'"

Those kids must be so proud.

'Pirates' sets Memorial weekend record

'Pirates' sets Memorial weekend record"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" cruised to a record as the biggest Memorial Day weekend opening ever, raking in $142 million in U.S. theaters.

But the latest adventure of Capt. Jack Sparrow didn't keep pace with "Spider-Man 3," which opened earlier and posted $151.1 million over three days, also a domestic record, Variety reported Tuesday.

Including a limited Thursday screening, the extended weekend total for "Pirates" swelled to $156 million, according to Disney estimates.

The extended weekend tally of "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," surpassed the $122.8 million "X-Men: The Last Stand" took in last year when it broke the four-day, Memorial Day weekend record.

So-called three-quels "Pirates," "Shrek the Third" and "Spider-Man 3" topped the weekend box office chart.

Miss Japan Crowned Miss Universe 2007

Miss Japan Crowned Miss Universe 2007A raven-haired Miss Japan, Riyo Mori, was crowned Miss Universe 2007 in a contest marked by protests, a banned dress and the withdrawal of one beauty queen on the grounds the pageant degrades women.

Mori, 20, the 56th winner of the title, was given her $250,000 diamond-and-pearl crown by last year's winner, Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico, watched by a live audience of 10,000 and some 600 million television viewers worldwide.

During the evening gown parade, Miss USA, Rachel Smith, slipped on the runway and landed on her bottom, although the slip didn't stop her earning fifth place.

Mori, from the small town of Shizuoka at the base of Mount Fuji, won the cheers of the Mexico City audience when she opened her interview, saying 'Hola, Mexico!'

"I learned how to always be happy, be patient and to be positive, and this is what I want to teach to the next generation," she said during the interview competition.

The daughter of a dance school operator, Mori said her grandmother told her as a child that she wanted her to be Miss Japan before she turned 20.

"From the very beginning, I entered the competition with high hopes and an unswerving determination to make this dream a reality," she said in a pre-competition interview.

This year's contest was marked by controversy, with a handful of Mexicans booing Smith in the run-up to the finals because of what they saw as U.S. unfriendliness toward illegal immigrants.

Miss Japan Crowned Miss Universe 2007Miss Sweden, Isabel Lestapier Winqvist, unexpectedly pulled out of the event because of complaints in her country that it degrades women.

In another hitch, Miss Mexico was made to change her outfit for the regional dress contest after her original dress, decorated with brutal images of rebels in a 1920s religious uprising being hanged or shot, drew accusations of poor taste.

Hours before the pageant began, dozens of protesters held a mock ceremony in downtown Mexico City that featured "Miss Marijuana," "Miss Sexual Health," "Miss Human Rights" and other candidates with obscenities written across their sashes. The group yelled "Neither ugly nor beautiful, should a woman be considered an object!"

Top Five places were shared between:
Miss Japan: Winner
Miss Brazil: First runner-up
Miss Venezuela: Second runner-up
Miss Korea: Third runner-up
Miss USA: Fourth runner-up
