Mendes turned to booze for Steamy Sex Scene

Eva Mendes can't help but cringe when it comes to filming steamy sex scenes, for she once wanted to be a nun.

 

The sexy Latina broke down in tears while filming an on-screen romp with Joaquin Phoenix in their new movie 'We Own the Night', and admits that her reaction has a lot to do with the fact that she almost entered the nunnery.

 

"I did very much want to be a nun when I was younger. I guess there is this little Catholic girl still inside me somewhere because otherwise I would probably have had no problem with that scene," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

 

However, she's determined to get a hang on her behaviour, which is a bit bizarre in the industry she's a part of.

"It's something I just have to deal with," she says.

And, Eva found the scene so difficult to film that she turned to booze to get through it.

"I'm very professional and I don't usually drink on the job, but that morning I had to have something," she said.

Actress and supermodel Eva Mendes needed a cocktail to get over her nervousness before shooting a steamy nude sex scene with actor Joaquin Phoenix.

The Cuban American, who undressed for the first for a scene in 'We Own the Night', insisted that she normally would not drink while performing her jobs.

"I wasn't comfortable at all. They were very sweet and they poured me a vodka and orange juice and then I was fine," People quoted her, as stating at a press conference in Cannes.

"I'm very professional and I don't usually drink on the job but that morning I had a little vodka and OJ," she added.

The 33-year old also said that it was her first sex scene, and that she was glad that director James Gray made her comfortable with everything.

"It was my first sex scene and thank God it was with James Gray. Not that it was actually with James. He did it at the end of the shoot, so it was the last day and I was really, really comfortable with these clowns.

Eva Mendes has revealed that is she was a guy, she would have asked her friend Cameron Diaz to marry her. The 32 year old, sexy actress has said that the Charlie's Angels star has got the cutest, tightest butt.

In the upcoming film Ghost Rider, Mendes stars opposite Nicholas Cage and is ready to do anything for the role.

"The original Roxanne was blonde and blue-eyed, but also had huge bajoongas. If I gain weight it goes to my boobs and my butt. I figured since I can't be blonde and blue-eyed, I'll at least have her bra size. So the bajoongas got big. They were out of control," she said.
