The blonde beauty wants to be taken seriously as an actress and believes baring all is the best way to earn the respect of Tinseltown, even if it goes against her family's wishes.

 

A source said: "Jessica is in the running for a role that, if she gets it, will put her right on the map in terms of acting.

 

"The only hitch is that the script requires a number of quite graphic scenes including a full-frontal nude scene. Jessica is so desperate to land the role and get the industry's respect that she's ready to go against her better judgement, and her family, by agreeing to bare all."

 

Earlier this year, Jessica's father Joe Simpson forced her to turn down a potentially Oscar-winning role as a porn star - insisting she keep her clothes on.

He said: "The last script that came to us was for Jessica to be a porn star. We were promised we would win an Oscar with that. I told them, 'I think we'll just buy a statue of a little man and keep our clothes on.' "

Jessica's movie career has stalled of late, with her most recent film Blonde Ambition failing to gain a cinema release and being branded a "disaster".

For the moment however, Simpson has no plans for planning another wedding, for she just too busy making music.

"I'm kind of married to my music right now and focusing on writing an album," she said.

Starlet Jessica Simpson prefers keeping her clothes on than win an Oscar tells her father Joe Simpson about his daughter who recently rejected a movie offer in which she would have to play as a Porn star.

"They're very busy, and they're happy," Joe Simpson told of his daughters, Jessica and Ashlee. "Jessica has three more movies to shoot; she has a new record coming in September. If the right role came up, of course, we'd never turn that down."

"We're pitched those a lot," Joe Simpson told of some of the reality TV series offers they get for Jessica since her 2003 MTV reality show Newlyweds with Lachey. "There are a lot of cool ones, and a lot of really strange ones."

The singer recently confirmed that she had split from beau John Mayer. But friends believe that they just might be getting back together, given the number of times they have broken up and made-up.

Jessica Simpson is so close to her mother Tina, that she even discusses her sex life with her.

The singer, in the Mother's Day report from the In Touch Weekly, says that her mother is the one she turns to for all sorts of advice – even if that means telling her about all that goes on in the bedroom.

Jessica also reveals that she is grateful that her mother was always there for her and little sister Ashlee.

A source revealed to Britain's Daily Sport newspaper that the 'Public Affair' singer is "horrified" that her name is being linked to a sex tape, for she had always been the epitome of "morals and principles".

"Jessica is horrified her name and sex tape are being mentioned in the same sentence. She's always been a girl of high morals and principles," the Post Chronicle quoted the source, as telling the paper.

Simpson and Lachey wed in October 2002, but three years down the line, the marriage had collapsed. The couple officially announced their separation in November 2005, after months of tabloid speculation. Their divorce was finalized on June 30, 2006.

Jessica Simpson reportedly told Jane magazine in October of 2006, that she knew her marriage to Nick Lachey was over when he refused to join her on a charity trip to Africa, even though it was on their third wedding anniversary.
