Kate Winslet tells her family what to buy her children for Christmas, so they don't get spoilt.
The British actress - who has a six-year-old daughter, Mia, from her marriage to ex-husband Jim Threapleton, and a 3yrs old son Joe with her current husband director Sam Mendes - doesn't want her children to become materialistic so sets rules on what festive presents they get.
She said: "I have to phone people and say, 'Please, books and pens only, or mittens and hats.'"
Earlier this month, Winslet revealed she has banned fashion magazines from her home - in case the thin models influence her daughter.
The 'Titanic' star fears Mia will develop an unhealthy body image.
She said at the time: "It is unbelievably disturbing what's going on at the moment. Young girls are impressionable. What I resent is that there is an image of perfection that is getting thinner and thinner.
"It's only a matter of time before Mia becomes aware of it and that frightens the life out of me."
