Britney Spears has been trying to patch up her relationship with second husband Kevin Federline.
The troubled singer is said to have spent two nights with K-Fed in the past week alone, despite splitting with the father of her two children last year.
A source tells the News Of The World, "Britney has finally realised she needs Kevin to keep her strong. Since they split, her life has been in freefall and she knows it's just not fair on the kids.
"They need their dad and Britney is determined to be a good mother."
Well, Britney's life certainly has been in freefall, but is getting back together with Kevin really the answer?
"Britney does not want two divorces behind her at her age," the source adds.
"She and Kevin are talking things through and hope they can work it out and be a proper family again."
